How to Get Rid Of Dry Skin - Treatment for Dry Skin

 Things You Should Know About Dry Skin

Dry skin is a common condition. Mainly due to excessive bath and soap (soap dermatitis). Soap removes the skin's natural protective oils. Once they go away, the skin can not catch moisture. Dry season makes it worse, as the winter season (called winter itching). Genetics also plays a role in the dry skin. The skin is less common among teenagers compared to younger children. This is because the oil glands are more active in teenagers. Here is some care advice that will help you.



 1. Moisturizing Cream

Buy a large bottle of moisturizing cream. Avoid it with fragrances. Use Cream 3 times per day at any dry or itch position. After a hot water bath or shower, trap the moisturizing cream on the skin. Do this by putting cream after bathing. Use the cream after completing the bath. During the winter, apply cream every day to prevent dry skin.


  2. Avoid Using Soap While Bathing :

Soaps exhale natural protective oils out of the skin. Bubble baths do the most damage. For small children, the skin can be cleaned with warm water alone. Keep the bath for 10 minutes or less. Most small children only need to take a bath twice a week. Teenagers can use only soap for armpits, genitals, and feet. Also, use a light soap like Dove. Do not use any soap on itching areas or rashes.

 3. Steroid Cream:


For very itching places, use 1% hydrocortisone cream like Cortaid. No prescription is required. Use it 3 times per day as needed until the itching is better. Generally, moisturizing cream will be all that you need for dry skin treatment.

 4. Moisture:

If your winters are dry, protect your child's skin from the drying effect. To do this, run the humidifier all the time in the room.


Do For Preventing Dry Skin

Do not use soap or bubble bath. Wash hands with warm water. Use soap only when hands are very dirty. Also, use soap for something that will not be closed with water. Do not use the swimming pool or hot tub. Reason: The chemicals in the pool are very dry. If the air is dry then run the humidifier in winter. In cold weather, wear gloves outside. It helps prevent the skin from drying up. Intake lots of fluids.
